Connecting to nature through flowers
We packed up and moved our daughters to a small island in the heart of the Salish Sea. We bought a fixer on .57 acres and put in a garden full of circles that overlooks the ocean. In 2021, I launched my new business, Flower Moon Floral, named after the full moon in May known as the Flower Moon. It is my greatest joy to grow beautiful flowers to mark and share the present moment with others. Through their beauty and a connection to the earth, her seasons and cycles we are connected. I am creating bouquets from only locally grown and wild harvested flowers, herbs and edible plants. Each creation is hand tied and artfully curated. I also create one of a kind floral still-life's, ikebana paintings and hand built ceramics.
WILD AND LOCALLY GROWN BOUQUETS
Handcrafted Beauty
Flower Moon Floral is the creation of artist and flower farmer Alexis Bouchard. A professionally trained painter and ikebana artist, Alexis took her love of flowers to the source. She now grows flowers on her 1/2 acre homestead on beautiful Orcas Island, Washington. Alexis' bouquets have a wild side as she often includes foraged and native plants into her artistic bouquets creating a unique statement full of color, texture and bounty.
